Position Summary
Ensure the smooth check-in and check-out of guests and maintain and exceed the Corinthia Hotel standards. Report any comments, VIP arrivals or departures and other issues as they occur throughout the day to the Front Office Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager and Lead Receptionist. To ensure that the standards of the division meet and exceed the quality standards set, up sell and cross-selling at all times.
Duties & Responsibilites
- Guests check-in and Check out
- Consulting/introducing guests’ profile information and creating room card keys
- Handling bills
- Giving information to guests
- Having direct contact with in house guests
- Learning to handle complaints
- Organising reservation information and filing
- Organising and delivering guests’ information, brochures and materials
- Handling telephone calls both internal and external
- Front Office duties both morning and evening shifts
- Support to other departments such as Guest Relations
- Special requests management, changing hotel guest rooms when requested
- Telephone and email contacts
- Introducing and selling excursions

Whilst working for the Company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the Company, guests and employees.
It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the Company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated.

- How to meet Guests Expectations
- How to handle Complaints
- How to handle Upgrades
- Grooming sessions
The trainee will be given all the assistance needed to learn as much as possible from this placement.
